Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to use the app?

No. There is no sign-up and no login. Open the app and start planning — everything you save is kept on your device.

Why is the app asking for my location?

Only to find stations near you, so you don’t have to type where you are. It is optional: decline the permission and the app works exactly as before, you just search for stations by name. Your location is used on your device and is never sent to us. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.

How accurate are the times shown?

Timetable and live departure information comes from third-party rail data services. It is normally accurate, but delays, cancellations, platform changes and engineering work can happen faster than any data feed updates. Always check with station displays or your train operator before travelling, particularly for the last train of the day or a tight connection.

Can I use the app without an internet connection?

Live times and journey searches need a connection, because the app fetches them when you ask. Things you have already saved on your device remain visible offline.

How do I delete my data?

Everything the app stores lives on your device, so deleting the app removes it all. There is no server-side copy and no account to close.

A station, route or fare looks wrong. Can you fix it?

Please tell us. We don’t generate timetable or route data ourselves — we present what the rail data services provide — but if something is being displayed incorrectly in the app, that is ours to fix, and if the underlying data is wrong we can raise it with the provider.

Will you add [feature]?

Maybe — send it over. The app is actively developed and feature requests from people who actually use it carry the most weight.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases and subscriptions made through the App Store or Google Play are handled by Apple and Google, so refunds go through them rather than us. Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. Google Play: Google Play refunds. If something went wrong on our side, email us anyway and we’ll help.

Travel disruption

We can help with the app, but we are not a train operator and cannot assist with bookings, tickets, delay repay claims or disruption. For those, contact your train operator directly, or National Rail Enquiries.
